Yu-Qing Qiu was born in July, 1981 in Yunnan, China. He received his B.S. Degrees from Department of Mathematics, Yunnan University, M.S. Degrees also from Department of Mathematics, Yunnan University, and now he is a Ph.D. candidate in Operations Research and Control Theory, Academy of Mathematics & Systems Science, CAS. His research area is to apply Optimization therory and Statistical Learning theory to model the biological systems and discover the underlining mechanisms. Specifically, he is working on devloping efficient computational methods to discovery active patterns in the biological molecular interaction networks.
